So something totally awesome happened last night. We were going back to the house about 20 minutes early, then my comp got a really strong feeling that we needed to keep working. I said great, where do we go? He said no idea, so we started walking, we walked a little ways, and I ran by a list of names of people we could visit. He said no to all of them. I asked him if we should contact, and he said maybe. Then we got to a house, we knocked, and introduced ourselves. The guy told us that we have really different views, and that he wasn't interested, so we asked if he knew anyone that needed our message. He said no, and we walked away disappointed, but we kept walking and I remembered a lady we had talked to the other day. She told us she didn't have time at the time, but asked us to come back so we headed over to her house. Her name is Mirna. We showed up, and she saw us, sighed a breath of relief, and let us in. She explained it had been a hard day, and she needed some word of God. So we started teaching. That was the most Spirit-led lesson of my mission. Every sentence. Every scripture. It was the best, ever.
Conference was super great. I watched it in English with all the other gringos, which was fun. I loved the talks. I really liked Elder Bednar, Elder Gong, and Elder Christofferson, but they were all really good. I need to study my notes more. And that was crazy with President Monson. He talked a total of like 8 minutes.
We were talking about the temples, we decided when they announce a temple in San Pedro, we're all going to jump up and call each other, and possibly cry. I'm already looking forward to it.
The rest of this week was kinda boring. We didn't work at all Saturday or most of Sunday, but that was definitely worth it. The closest person we have to baptism is a guy named Mario. He lives with member less actives so he's been going to church. He isn't super excited, but he felt the church was true during conference. He just wants to be sure he understands everything before his baptism so we'll see.
Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you guys--I got a selfie stick. It came free with some deodorant, so I bought one. It's the same company that I got the free watch from. It's called Rexona, and they're awesome! :)
