Merry Christmas! --Dec 21, 2015

My agenda.  It's a trend to tape a pic from an Ensign to the front
So I had a talk on Sunday, on covenants.  It went well but not perfect.  My Spanish is usually fine, but under the pressure, not so much.  But I'm glad it's over.
My talk preparations
The first half of the week was the usual.  We had a meeting in Progreso, with the whole zone.  That was cool.  I love seeing my Grandpa Wilks, and there's some other awesome elders in the zone.

On Friday, we had dinner with a dude named Edwin.  He lived in the US for 20 years, going to cooking schools.  Then he worked on a cruise ship as a chef.  He cooked some delicious dinner, and that was with the stuff you can buy here in Honduras.  He knows Spanish, English, French, and German.  He's been to 58 different countries.  He was super fun to talk to.

The national park here is Lancetilla, prounounced lawn-seh-tee-ya.  It's awesome.  We go every Friday to visit a fam and the ward mission leader.  He has a church attendance/smoking/drinking problem.  So yeah.

Crossing the river to get to where we need to go

Found a torch-like piece of bamboo and did my best Statue of Liberty impression

We had our branch Christmas activity.  That was super awesome.  We read from the Bible, played "Never Have I Ever," sang hymns, ate dinner (rice and chicken) and then danced.

They know how to have a Christmas party!
I don't do as much on P Days now, so less to talk about.  The rest of the zone is super far away, and the elders and hermanas here never want to do stuff as a district.  Plus I don't carry around my camera until I've decided if it's safe or not, so I take less photos during the week, but I have a lot this week.
A normal amount of sweat

Your lesson sounds awesome Mom.  Tell anyone who didn't super love it to come to Honduras for church here.  No videos or treats.  Or English.

Not a ton else.  We had three investigators come to church, but no one super close to baptism.  I'm just living life right now, and enjoying it as well.
