"I think they are a little excited...what do you think? #ZoneConferenceTreats + #IceCreamSundayBar = #HappyMissionaries" --Hma Klein via Facebook
This has been another crazy week. We had a multi-zone conference, which was
awesome. I met a ton of cool people,
including a couple from Idaho. :) President Klein spoke a lot, which is always
awesome. We watched a bunch of Christmas
videos, and ate some good food. We also
did a lot of practices, with emphasis on commitments for investigators. It was awesome, I learned a ton.

A couple of other interesting things are we got a pair of
sisters to help us in our area. There’s
one gringo and one Latina. They seem
cool, but I don’t see them much. Its
nice that our area is smaller now.
The new area is really cool.
It’s super close to the beach, we can see it sometimes. It’s close enough that we see crabs walking
across the trail sometimes.
My companion is good, super busy, and doesn’t know much English,
but good. I just can’t wait till I
really get Spanish down and can communicate with my comp better.
We are teaching almost all families, and quite a few less
actives. The mission goal is "Bautizar
and Fortalecer", or Baptize and Strengthen.
So lots of less actives. Most of
our investigators are progressing, but really slow. The strong Catholic background is nice to
build on.
I think there’s around 200 missionaries in the whole
mission. Almost all cities have missionaries,
but not all, and there’s actually no areas in San Pedro. There’s some that are close, but none in the
city limits.
I got pretty sick earlier in the week. I was barfing and had diarrhea. I’m all good now, but it was a rough day of
sickness.
Also, we killed a ton of ants with mosquito spray in our
kitchen. There was a piece of cardboard
that we used to put our dishes on. The
ants used the inside to live in so when I moved it, a ton of ants and egg
things fell out. Super gross. Our food barely touches any surfaces besides
the frying pan and plates. You just
learn not to trust the surfaces of Honduras.
Another thing—an old man died in our ward this week, and we
had to help get him ready for the funeral. That was pretty gross. I can
now say that I changed the pants of a dead Honduran!
I found a scripture
for my plaque—Mosiah 5:15. It’s
awesome!
Therefore, I would that ye should be steadfast and immovable, always abounding in good works, that Christ, the Lord God Omnipotent, may seal you his, that you may be brought to heaven, that ye may have everlasting salvation and eternal life, through the wisdom, and power, and justice, and mercy of him who created all things, in heaven and in earth, who is God above all. Amen.

Some boats the sisters in our district made for a white elephant gift exchange. They are awesome!

This little box was the present I got at the gift exchange. It's a little Nativity.

It says Be Joyful, because to us was born a Savior. Merry Christmas.

The box is the wrapped boats, which I wrapped. Not bad!
