District Leader--June 20, 2016

Elder Garnica told me that his brother, during his mission, never told his family when he got called to be leader of district and zone.  Lots of respect for that dude.

I know, I know!  It's a joke!  I'm the new district leader in the district.  Tadaaa!
So basically all I do is lead district meeting, set district goals, collect numbers, and do baptism interviews and a bunch of misc stuff, like Pres will call me if something is going on, or I solve problems within the district.
The area is really good!  We have two people with baptism dates this Saturday.  One of them had his date before I got here but the other girl we found and taught.  SI!!!!!!  Their names are Wilian and Delmi.  Wilian is 14.  His aunts are members but his parents no.  We think the dad is going to get baptized but he needs to change his work schedule.  He really cool.  I actually love hanging out with him.
The other is Delmi, 20 years old.  She is soooo awesome.  She told us the other day that she wants a calling right after being baptized cause she wants to serve others because that's what brought the church to her.
We have other people that are progressing but slowly, and they are kinda missing the desire to baptize.  But we will see.  Then we have a ton of people that listen but don't do much.  I'm searching for a good way to help them right now.

Elder Silva is a great guy.  He's the first Brazilian in our mission in a long time, they just usually stay in South America.  He's normal, just a great guy.  He's not great at accepting advice, but he's learning and good.
The house with 4 elders is weird.  We play cards or monopoly every night.  It's pretty fun, but sharing one shower=not great.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!!!
I wish I had a better way to show you how much I love you and how much I appreciate you as my dad.  I can't imagine my mission, or my life, without you.  You've been a huge guide for me.  I love you!
