| New Comp Elder Martinez |
Tela has been great, but a little boring. There's not much to do on P Days, or to eat besides chicken. But today we went to Progreso to play soccer and eat in Progreso--super fun. I got a new companion from Bolivia, Elder Martinez. He's been pretty cool, but kinda hard to work with. I'm assuming I'll have two more changes here which is good. I really like the people here.
I had an incredible lesson with a family here. We were explaining service and specifically work for the dead. They were loving it, feeling the Spirit super strong. Then the husband said that he had a friend who died and the friend had helped him out a ton. Then his friend died and he never got the chance to help him back. But then he said, I could do his temple work for him. I really feel he would appreciate it if I did. It was AWESOME. They totally understand the deep meanings behind the doctrine. Super awesome!
The last week has been incredible. I'm leading the companionship because I know the area. And my Spanish really took off this week. Then President Klein came to our branch and announced that we would become a ward and have a stake and all that! It will take about a year, but I'm soooo excited for that! It was awesome.
It was getting pretty hot the last two weeks but it's been raining pretty hard that last couple days. It's worth it because it cool it down, but it's rough when it's happening.
My laundry isn't hard to do, but it takes time. I hope it's not too hard on the clothes.
[Toby asked about young adults there]
I'm pretty sure there's NO young adults in Honduras. Maybe in San Pedro?
