No Power--July 18, 2016

So this week has been weird.  It's been pretty hard as far as the work goes, so that's not good. But I'm working on fixing that.  We set some really good goals and I think that will help a lot.

The big news of the week is this huge problem we had.  The owner of the house sent us an energy bill of 5000 lemps.  So we didn't pay because that's about 15 times more than what it should be.  Then the power company came to our house and cut the cables.  So we lived with no power for 3 days, and that means no fans.  It's literally impossible to sleep without fans, so the 4 of us went to sleep with the other missionaries.  Then we payed the bill with the owner and a member re-taped the cables together.  So that was interesting.

Today we hung out at the church, played volleyball and frisbee and wall-ball with a doll head we found.  Weird day.  Then we went to eat Pizza Hut.  Awesome!

I study in Spanish a lot.  It's cool, you can learn some interesting stuff from a different language.  I've actually devoted a lot of time to studying faith.  Like I have 5 pages of notes about it.  I love it a ton.

The new mission president has been great so far.  I don't know him that well yet.  I can't imagine trying to start being a mission president.  He's focusing a lot more on obedience in the mission, which is good.  There's some bad stuff that goes down.  Nothing crazy bad, but stuff where it's like...come on man.

I like my area and my comp--what else can I say?
