The Pouch System is cheap and reliable and takes about 2 weeks for delivery. Mail leaves Salt Lake every Friday. No envelopes or packages. Send postcards or write a letter on one side of a single sheet of printer paper, fold into thirds, tape at the top, apply a regular US stamp and mail to:

From the USA, send packages only by United States Postal Service. Ship it regular speed with no tracking (that actually slows it down.) Best not to send anything valuable--keep contents under $35-40 to discourage thieves. Takes about 3-6 weeks, but seems to be pretty reliable in getting there. Most people report all their packages being received.
